Level 2 ADAS technology debuts in Fiat’s 500e “Inspired By” models

Fiat has recently unveiled two new additions to its all-electric 500e lineup, the “Inspired By Beauty” and “Inspired By Music” models. These introductions were announced at the Aspen Ideas: Climate event in Miami, Florida, by Fiat CEO Olivier Francois. These models are designed to reflect Italian culture and the essence of the Fiat brand, emphasizing the 500e’s connection to Italy’s renowned style and cultural heritage.

The “Inspired By Beauty” model is distinct for its exclusive rose gold color, incorporating body-color mirror caps and chrome daylight opening molding. The interior features include beige eco-leather seats, a soft-touch steering wheel, and a dashboard wrapped in eco-leather, combining style with comfort. This model starts at a price of $36,000, including destination charges.

The “Inspired By Music” model is a tribute to the fusion of Italian iconic imagery and sound, highlighted by its collaboration with Andrea Bocelli. It features a Piano Black exterior and a special JBL 7-speaker audio system with an amplifier and subwoofer. The unique Virtual Venues feature, curated by Maestro Bocelli, offers a virtual-reality audio experience with four different acoustic settings. This model is also priced starting at $36,000, including destination charges.

Additionally, both models introduce Level 2 active driving assistance technology to the Fiat lineup in North America for the first time. This system includes adaptive cruise control and Lane Keep Assist, providing hands-on driver assistance on select roads.

The 500e models boast a 149-mile range with a 42-KWh battery, and they incorporate a Level 2 charging capability with a charge time of approximately four hours and 15 minutes. The vehicle also features an 85-kW fast charger system, allowing for quick recharges that suit daily needs.

Other notable features of the Fiat 500e include an intuitive design, a welcoming digital melody for passengers, and a unique acoustic vehicle alert system to enhance pedestrian safety. The car offers significant power with 117 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque, capable of reaching 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds.

The “Inspired By” models will be available in Fiat showrooms across North America starting in the third quarter of 2024, aiming to provide customers with an immersive Italian experience that combines style, sustainability, and advanced technology.
