So here’s a weird one. Our team of spy photographers caught the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring — that’s PHEV in Lincoln speak — out testing around the streets of Michigan.
While we’re expecting a bit more of a range, and a nip and tuck of the front and rear, what’s interesting about this prototype is exactly what is used in conjunction with the vehicle’s camouflage.
Next to a currently unreadable QR code is a window cling featuring none other than Ye. That’s right, Kanye West is on this prototype.
Since we can’t read the QR code, we can’t say for certain if it’s linked to Ye’s likeness as some sort of promotional thing. Maybe there’s just a Ye superfan working in Ford’s engineering department.
For a more industry angle, this prototype appears to have EPA exhaust tips at the rear, indicating that Ford is underling emissions testing for the new vehicle.
Beyond that, we’re not sure what to say. We like the Corsair GT well enough, and look forward to checking out the updates. As for Ye? We’re completely clueless.
