What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is the company’s big shopping holiday. Think of it like Black Friday in the summer, but for Amazon. Still, you can expect other retailers to offer deals to compete with Amazon Prime Day. In past years, we’ve seen Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and more offer similar discounts on major items.
What goes on sale during Amazon Prime Day?
Pretty much everything you can think of will go on sale during Amazon Prime Day, but expect better discounts on Amazon devices, including its tablets, Ring Alarm Security systems, eero mesh WiFi routers, and more. The company also offers a lineup of Fire TV smart TVs and Amazon has already announced discounts of up to 50 percent on select models. Of course, we’re focusing on deals for EV owners, but we’ll definitely highlight some other deals you probably don’t want to skip.
Do I have to have Amazon Prime to take advantage of Prime Day deals?
Yes, you do need to be an Amazon Prime member in order to take advantage of the discounts during Amazon Prime Day. If you’re not currently an Amazon Prime member, the good news is the company offers a 30-day Prime free trial and you can take advantage of that for Prime Day. Amazon Prime currently costs $14.99/month and along with free delivery, you’ll get access to Amazon’s video streaming service packed with original content, over two-million songs, along with books, magazines, and more.
