The Polestar 4 is making its official debut next week

Now that we know nearly everything we need to know about the  upcoming Polestar 3, our attention turns to the Polestar 4, which will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 18. Along with announcing the Polestar 4’s unveiling, the Swedish automaker shared a teaser photo of the electric SUV coupe. Although Polestar kept details light, it did say the Polestar 4 will be the “fastest Polestar production car to date.”

The upcoming model is an SUV coupe, similar to BMW’s X4 and X6, and the Porsche Macan. We can expect certain design cues initially showcased in Polestar’s concept cars to make their production debut in the Polestar 4. “Polestar 4 is not simply a modified version of our first SUV. Instead, we reconsidered the entire design to create a new breed of SUV coupé,” said Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO.

Originally announced in 2021, the Polestar 4 should share its underpinnings with the Zeekr 001. Like other Polestar models, expect both rear-wheel- and all-wheel-drive models to be offered. Look for more details on the Polestar 4 once it makes its official debut next week.
