At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Lucid Motors unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Lucid Gravity. This new luxury electric SUV is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will begin production in late 2024. Touted for its range, the Lucid Gravity is expected to surpass 440 miles on a single charge, a notable figure in the electric SUV segment.

The Gravity aims to balance luxury and performance, featuring a new platform and the latest iteration of Lucid’s electric powertrain. The SUV’s design emphasizes interior space and maneuverability, targeting a demographic seeking a spacious yet agile vehicle. Additionally, the Gravity SUV is expected to offer a payload capacity of over 1500 pounds and a towing capacity of around 6000 pounds, potentially making it a contender in its class for utility and functionality.

Sustainability is a key focus for Lucid in the development of the Gravity. The vehicle features a smaller and lighter battery pack, reducing the reliance on precious metals and minerals, which Lucid claims will lead to less energy consumption during charging and a lighter overall vehicle weight. This approach reflects Lucid’s commitment to eco-friendliness in their vehicle designs.

In the cabin, the Gravity promises a luxurious experience with features such as Lucid Sanctuary and Lucid Spaces. These additions are designed to offer tranquility and a focus on passenger wellbeing, including interactive elements and guided meditation options in collaboration with Meditopia. The vehicle also boasts a 34-inch curved OLED display and Lucid’s next-generation software capable of over-the-air updates, hinting at a tech-forward approach to the driving experience.

Lucid Motors has indicated that the starting price for the Gravity will be under $80,000. It should start arriving to customers in late 2024.
