Ford Pro wants to make managing small fleets easier, including E-Transits and Lightning Pros

Today, Ford Pro announced a new suite of fleet management solutions that is designed to make it easier for small business owners to manage their fleet of vehicles. Just like those fleets are turning to modern EVs to satisfy their vehicle needs with the Ford E-Transit and F-150 Lightning Pro, the American automaker wants to help them move into the digital age with Ford Pro Fleet Management Software. It’s the flagship product in the Ford Pro Intelligence suite of fleet management solutions and it will be available on a subscription basis for as low as $5 per month, per vehicle.

The new tool is designed to get rid of drawers and file folders packed with paperwork and replace them with a cloud-based, fully digital system. It’s powered by fleet management software provider Fleetio, and fully digitizes cost-related data and easily reports total cost of ownership to the businesses. The flexible system can track important data on vehicles of any make — gasoline or electric — and is optimized for fleets of up to 150 vehicles. Other features include the ability to monitor fuel usage costs, optimize vehicle cycle management, and allow drivers to automate maintenance and repair tracking at over 55,000 in-network repair facility in the U.S.

Along with Ford Pro Fleet Management Software, the suite also includes two other products: Ford Pro Title and Registration and Ford Pro Driver Risk Management. Ford Pro Title and Registration is designed to help business owners spend less time managing their vehicle registration and licensing by providing a single point of contact to renew registrations. The product also helps manage vehicle title-related issues like state-to-state transfers. The third product in the suite, Ford Pro Driver Risk Management, helps business owners track crucial information on their fleet drivers by delivering reports such as Motor Vehicle Record checks and monitoring, license expiration dates, and violation point customization.

Ford Pro also offers available add-ons to their base suite of fleet management software, including an equipment tracker, trailers, power equipment, and a Garage Management System to help owners manage parts and inventory. Individual drivers for businesses running on Ford Pro’s fleet management software can use a mobile app to input data while on the job. The app integrates with Ford Pro vehicle software like Ford Pro Telematics, which helps optimize fleet efficiency by tracking data such as driver habits, real-time vehicle location, and downtime.

“Small and medium businesses told us they need a suite of tools ranging from driver and vehicle tracking to title and registration to vehicle health and maintenance monitoring but simplified — all with one, trusted partner, so that’s why we developed Ford Pro fleet management solutions,” said Dave Prusinski, global chief revenue officer. “Total cost of ownership is the most crucial piece of fleet-related data to business owners, and Ford Pro has invested significantly to scale software products typically reserved for large fleets, making them accessible to small and medium-sized businesses, completely flexible for their needs and budgets.”
