BMW of North America announced on November 5, 2026 a $500 public charging package for eligible model year 2027 BMW i5, i7, and iX3 electric vehicles, available beginning that day. Customers who bought or leased a qualifying model year 2027 vehicle before November 5 may also receive the benefits.
The package includes a $300 BMW ChargingNetwork credit usable at participating providers, a separate $200 credit for charging at IONNA locations, and a complimentary one-year BMW Membership at IONNA that BMW says carries a 25 percent charging discount during the offer period. Credits apply automatically to qualifying sessions after enrollment and are valid for up to one year from the retail date, and sessions are billed to the payment method on file once the credits are used.
Owners enroll in the My BMW app under Charging, Services, Charging Wallet, and BMW ChargingNetwork, after which the benefits appear in the Digital Charging Wallet. BMW says the network works with providers that include IONNA, Shell Recharge, Electrify America, ChargePoint, and EVgo, and that IONNA, the joint venture BMW co-founded with seven other automakers, offers charging up to 400 kW at more than 200 U.S. locations.
BMW also said it plans a U.S. launch of the iX5 and i3 in the first quarter of 2027.
