President Joe Biden recently issued an executive order for government offices to “Buy American.” The governmentwide edict directs organizations to purchase American made goods. That includes electric vehicles from American manufacturers.
Speaking about the EO the President said, “The federal government also owns an enormous fleet of vehicles, which we’re going to replace with clean electric vehicles, made right here in America by American workers.”

There is a slew of EVs currently built in the United States, with even more on the way. In addition to Tesla models, the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Bolt EV is built in the United States. Upcoming trucks from Rivian and Ford also will be built in the U.S. There’ll be a variety of options for the government to choose from.
This is all part of Biden’s “Build Back Better” initiative, and part of an overall strategy we expect to continue through Biden’s presidency.
