Autopia 2099 — Presented by Nissan is coming up this Saturday. If you are attending, or not sure quite yet if you want to make the trip, here’s everything you need to know about getting to the event and participating.
(Editor’s Note: I’m a co-founder of Autopia 2099 and I suppose if it makes money there’s a chance that I would make money from it. Additionally, I am biased because I think the show is going to be awesome and you totally should go!)
Where and when is it?
Autopia 2099 is Saturday, Dec. 4 at Optimist Studios in Los Angeles. If you need directions, here’s a Google Maps link. It’s within walking distance of LAX, kind of.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on a first come, first served basis for both spectators and people bringing cars to showcase. If you are attending as a spectator, there is a parking lot right across from Optimist Studios that’s capable of parking a couple of hundred cars. If that lot fills, there is lots of street parking in the area. The main lot parking is free, so get there early to guarantee a spot.
What time is it?
We want all showcase cars to be parked by 10 a.m., so that’s our starting time for spectators to arrive. The event will run until 4 p.m. Awards will be handed out around 3 p.m.
Any special events?
Between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., title sponsor Nissan will be hosting a panel on sustainability with Farmer Nick. There will also be a plant giveaway, and he’ll be giving advice on proper care of plants. He’s even appeared in a Netflix series. You won’t want to miss it.
Assuming no significant changes of plans, Onyx will be providing test rides of their bikes.
What about food, I need to eat?
There will be coffee provided and food trucks will arrive around 11 a.m.
How much does it cost?
As a spectator Autopia 2099 is just $5. To bring your car, it is an incredible $15. But because it’s Cyber Monday when I’m sharing this post, use the code CYBER2099 for 50% off. That’s a deal a twice the price!
You can get your tickets right here!
I’m going to be there, how do I share it on social?
We’d love to see your social posts. Tag everything with #Autopia2099 if you can, and also feel free to tag us on Twitter (@autopia2099) and Instagram (@autopia2099).
What about COVID-19 protocols?
We are following the city and county of Los Angeles COVID-19 protocols. You will be required to wear a mask when indoors. Most of our event, though, will be outside. This is, of course, subject to change.
Will I see you there?
