2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid adds Bronze Edition

Toyota has announced a new special edition for the 2022 Highlander Hybrid called the Bronze Edition. Slotting between the XLE and Limited grades, this new variant gets bronze exterior accents, and 18-inch bronze alloy wheels to distinguish it from the rest of the lineup. Inside, the Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition gets bronze door sills, bronze contrast stitching, fabric seat inserts with a diamond pattern, and special floor mats with a bronze logo.

The 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition gets additional standard features over the XLE trim. They include a 1,500-watt power outlet, hands-free power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED daytime running lights, LED puddle lights, and in-dash interior ambient lighting. For 2022, the XLE trim and higher will get a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat that now has height adjustment.

Toyota will offer the Highlander Bronze Edition model only with the available hybrid powertrain. That means it’ll be powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder coupled to a nickel-metal-hydride battery, one (FWD), or two (AWD) electric drive motors. The total system output is 243 hp. You’ll be able to get the Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition in FWD or AWD configurations when it goes on sale in late 2021.
