2022 Mini Cooper S E hardtop gets significant updates

Mini has announced a major refresh for the 2022 Hardtop and Convertible models, and the all-electric Cooper SE has also benefited. Available in two-door Hardtop guise, the Mini Cooper S E gets a significantly revised front fascia with new air curtains to help improve aerodynamics and gloss black inserts in the headlight housings. Additional exterior tweaks include new alloy wheel designs, three new exterior colors, an available multi-tone roof, and a revised lower rear fascia with body-colored trim.

The biggest highlights of this refresh are the additional standard features you get. All models now get the 8.8-inch touch screen, satellite radio, heated steering wheel, and lane departure warning as standard. Adaptive cruise control now has stop and go capability, allowing the driver to keep it active in traffic where it can bring the car to a full stop.

Pricing for the 2022 Mini Cooper S E Hardtop carries over unchanged from the previous year. The well-equipped base Classic trim starts at $30,750 while the mid-grade Signature checks in at $34,750. Sitting at the top of the range is the Iconic trim, which has every feature available on the Cooper SE and costs $37,750. Powered by a 32.5-kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor with 184 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, the Mini Cooper SE can travel up to 110 miles per charge.
