How we’d spec it: 2022 Rivian R1T electric pickup

Now that you can build and price your own Rivian R1S and R1T, we thought we’d come up with some of our dream configurations to share with you folks.

For the R1T, we believe that it’s a truck that’s going to be well suited for getting away from it all. That’s why the Adventure Package makes the most sense to us, and while hefty at $10,000, we’d go for the 400+ mile range battery.

While drawn to Rivian Blue, the Forrest Green would be the choice color of our outdoor spec. We also like the 20-inch off-road wheels and tires, and they look killer in black on the green.

The Camp Kitchen package will be a life saver when we’re trying to avoid people, and includes an induction cooktop, built-in sink, 4 gallon water tank and pump, and an optional 30-piece cooking set from Snow Peak.

The Forrest Edge interior seems to be the logical choice with the green exterior.

Does that mean we’ve configured the most expensive Rivian you can buy? Yes. But what’s $97,000 when compared to the fun you’ll have avoiding people? And enjoying the great outdoors? And avoiding people?

We just need to hand over our Amex for a $1,000 refundable deposit.
