The 2026 Lexus RZ has arrived in North America with a series of substantial updates under its sleek, all-electric skin. First introduced in 2023 as Lexus’s inaugural purpose-built battery-electric vehicle, the RZ now offers three powertrain choices to suit a range of driving styles and needs. The entry-level RZ 350e delivers 221 horsepower through a front-wheel-drive setup and achieves an EPA-estimated range of roughly 300 miles when equipped with 18-inch wheels. Stepping up to the RZ 450e adds a second motor for all-wheel drive, boosting output to 308 horsepower and yielding about 260 miles of range under the same conditions. For those craving performance, the new RZ 550e F Sport AWD packs a combined 402 horsepower into its dual-motor layout and features sport-tuned suspension, F Sport styling cues and an estimated 225-mile range when fitted with its standard 20-inch aero wheels.
All 2026 models benefit from a redesigned electric drive system and a higher-capacity onboard charger—upgraded from 7 kW to 11 kW—that, on a compatible DC fast charger, replenishes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Lexus has also adopted the North American Charging Standard port for seamless access to the latest chargers.

The F Sport model debuts Lexus-first M Mode, which lets drivers manually select power output levels via paddle shifters, simulating the feel of downshifting and holding gears without a traditional transmission. On the outside, the RZ 550e F Sport AWD sports blacked-out bumpers, an F Sport rear spoiler, distinctive grille treatment and exclusive Wind gray paint, all designed to underscore its dynamic intent.
Inside, the RZ’s minimalist cabin continues to highlight clean lines and quality materials, now featuring an expanded Dynamic Sky Panorama Glass Roof that offers greater shade control or an unobstructed view of the sky. F Sport interiors add Ultrasuede door trim with animated shadow-pattern illumination, blue contrast stitching, aluminum pedals and a steering wheel embossed with the F Sport emblem. Across the lineup, Lexus Driving Signature tuning ensures a smooth, linear feel and whisper-quiet operation—hallmarks of the brand’s electric driving philosophy.

Built at Toyota’s Motomachi plant in Japan, the refreshed RZ is slated to go on sale later this year. Full pricing and detailed specifications will be announced closer to launch, rounding out Lexus’s multi-pathway electrification strategy that spans hybrids, plug-in hybrids and dedicated battery-electric vehicles.
