A few years back Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and hype man, promised that the company was working on Tesla branded tequila. The company has now delivered on that promise.
Called Tesla Tequila, the elixir of the gods is produced by Nosotros Tequila in California. The bottle appears to be designed after the Tesla charging logo found in all of their vehicles.
Priced at $250 a bottle, it ran out of stock quickly. We’re unsure if there’ll be more available, and since Tesla no longer has a public relations department to reach out to, we have no one to ask.
We did secure a couple of bottles and look forward to sharing our impressions when it arrives.
Is the Tesla Tequila just a cash grab to shore up liquid funds? Probably. But the way things are going, it never hurts to have an extra bottle of tequila on hand, in case of emergency.
