Slate has introduced the Slate Truck, a new electric vehicle designed to rethink affordability and personalization in the auto industry. Built on a simplified, durable platform, the Slate Truck offers a 2-seat pickup configuration that can easily transform into a 5-seat SUV using a DIY accessory kit.
Priced under $20,000 after federal incentives, the Slate Truck features a 52.7-kWh battery offering an estimated 150 miles of range, with an optional 84.3-kWh pack targeting 240 miles. It supports charging via the NACS port, including overnight home charging and fast-charging to 80% in under 30 minutes.

The truck focuses on minimalist design and DIY customization, with over 100 available accessories and an exterior built for easy vehicle wrapping. Inside, tech is user-driven, relying on a universal phone mount and USB ports rather than built-in screens. Standard safety features include Active Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and up to eight airbags.
Built in America, the Slate Truck will be sold directly to consumers with a growing nationwide service network. Reservations are now open for $50 at slate.auto, with production currently in predevelopment and vehicle specifications subject to change.
