Rimac Automobili has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup with the introduction of the Nevera R, a high-performance hypercar engineered with a focus on enhancing cornering capabilities. The Nevera R, which produces 2,107 horsepower, represents a significant evolution from its predecessor, the Nevera, and is designed to shift from a Grand Tourer to a Hyper Sportscar, emphasizing aggressive driving dynamics.
The Nevera R is equipped with advanced Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring technology and a new performance-oriented battery system. This combination allows the vehicle to improve on the straight-line performance of the original Nevera, reaching speeds of 300 km/h (186 mph) in 8.66 seconds. Rimac has also enhanced the vehicle’s braking system with new carbon ceramic EVO2 brakes, which improve stopping power and cooling performance.
The design of the Nevera R reflects its performance-oriented nature, with a sleeker, lower appearance and a forward-thrusting stance. The car features new 21-inch rear and 20-inch front wheels, a large fixed rear wing, and an aggressive aero package that increases downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. These design changes contribute to improved stability, reduced understeer, and better lateral grip.
The Nevera R’s driver feedback has been sharpened through the re-tuning of the All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system, increased downforce, and revised traction control. These updates ensure the vehicle provides a more predictable and engaging driving experience, even in challenging conditions. The car’s steering system has also been refined for quicker response and more precise feedback.
The vehicle’s performance statistics are notable, with a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) under normal conditions and up to 412 km/h (256 mph) with manufacturer oversight. The Nevera R can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds and reach 200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.38 seconds.
Rimac will produce only 40 units of the Nevera R, each available in a new Nebula green color with customizable interior and exterior options. The vehicle’s design and performance enhancements are the result of a collaborative effort between Rimac’s designers and engineers, aiming to push the boundaries of hypercar performance.
The Rimac brand, which is part of Bugatti Rimac, continues to lead in the electric vehicle market, building on its history of innovation and performance with the release of the Nevera R. The company operates from its global headquarters at the Rimac Campus in Croatia.
