Polestar has officially revealed the Polestar 5, a four door performance Grand Tourer that evolves the 2020 Precept concept into production. “Polestar 5 is bringing the future to our present,” said Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO. “With its pure Scandinavian design inside and out, unique platform, powerful motors, sophisticated chassis, cutting-edge technology, and consciously sustainable materials, the Polestar 5 is a guiding star for the industry and the perfect Polestar flagship.”

The 5 pairs minimalist surfacing with aero details like a SmartZone front end, dual blade headlights with Pixel LED technology and an aero-efficient rear lightbar. A virtual rear window and digital rear view mirror help enable the sleek profile, while the largest panoramic glass roof yet on a Polestar amplifies cabin light. Cd is 0.24 on the Polestar 5 Dual motor.
Inside, the 4+1 layout features Recaro front seats and available Bridge of Weir Nappa leather, with sustainable materials including ampliTex and BComp natural fibres, Econyl carpets and recycled PET headlining. A 14.5-inch portrait centre display runs Android Automotive with Google built-in, supported by either a Polestar High Performance Audio system or a 21-speaker Bowers & Wilkins setup. ADAS uses the SmartZone, 11 vision cameras, a driver monitoring camera, one mid-range radar and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

A hot-cured bonded aluminum platform underpins the car, integrating a 112 kWh lithium-ion NMC battery. The Dual motor makes 550 kW and 812 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The Polestar 5 Performance makes 650 kW and 1,015 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. An 800 V architecture enables up to 350 kW DC charging, with 10–80% possible in as little as 22 minutes. WLTP range is up to 670 km for Dual motor and up to 565 km for Performance. Orders open online from 8 September 2025, with indicative launch prices of €119,900 and €142,900.
