Kia shows off new logo and slogan as a future mobility provider

Kia has unveiled its new logo ahead of the automaker presenting its brand strategy on January 15. For Kia, the new logo and slogan is the beginning of a new direction as it revamps its positioning and focuses on being a mobility solutions provider.

The new Kia logo looks way more stylized. Letters are connected and are completely symmetrical, giving it a clean yet modern look. “Kia’s new logo represents the company’s commitment to becoming an icon for change and innovation,” said Kia president and CEO Ho Sung Song. “The automotive industry is experiencing a period of rapid transformation, and Kia is proactively shaping and adapting to these changes. Our new logo represents our desire to inspire customers as their mobility needs evolve, and for our employees to rise to the challenges we face in a fast-changing industry.”

Next week, Kia will outline its brand strategy, which falls in line with the new slogan, “Movement that Inspires.” The Korean automaker will reveal more details on its future product lineup and brand philosophy. In late 2020, Kia unveiled its Plan S strategy, which summarized its transition into an electrification-focused automaker. The highlight of that announcement was that Kia will bring up to 11 EVs to the market by 2025 with the first arriving this year. Code-named CV, Kia’s first dedicated EV will be a performance-oriented crossover. The virtual presentation next week could further expand on that with new details on future models.
