Kia introduces yet another EV to its expanding lineup

Kia has introduced the EV4, which includes both sedan and hatchback models, ahead of the upcoming Kia EV Day event on February 24 in Tarragona, Spain. The EV4 aims to broaden the appeal of Kia’s electric vehicle lineup, targeting a diverse demographic with its modern design and advanced technologies.

The design of the EV4 reflects Kia’s commitment to innovative mobility and modernity. Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, Karim Habib, noted that the EV4 offers a unique experience that caters to various lifestyles and needs. The sedan features a sleek silhouette with a low nose and long-tail design, while the hatchback is characterized as a nimble and versatile vehicle.

The EV4’s design is rooted in Kia’s “Opposites United” philosophy, focused on harmony through contrasting elements. This approach is evident in the vehicle’s dynamic profiles, which combine sharp lines with bold detailing. The EV4 aims to set a new standard in the compact electric vehicle market with its innovative silhouette.

The exterior of the EV4 sedan includes a distinctive front-end design featuring Kia’s EV Tiger Face, vertically oriented headlamps, and the brand’s Star Map lighting signature. These elements contribute to a sporty stance and a refined appearance. The sedan’s streamlined silhouette incorporates a low hood line and a long-tail design, complemented by a unique roof spoiler and machined 19-inch wheels.

In contrast, the EV4 hatchback presents a solid, contemporary look with black vertical C-pillars and robust fenders. The rear profile shares similarities with the sedan but has distinct features, including sharply sculpted lines and wide-positioned taillights. The hatchback’s design emphasizes its innovative character with geometric patterns on the lower body.

For those wanting a sportier version, the EV4 GT-Line includes exclusive design elements that enhance its dynamic character, such as wing-shaped bumpers and triangular-motif 19-inch wheels.

Kia’s 2025 EV Day will feature the official debut of the EV4 and an announcement regarding an expanded electrification strategy. Detailed design and product features will be revealed on February 27.
