Jeep has introduced the latest generation of its Compass compact SUV, featuring a broad array of electrified powertrains and an updated design built on Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform. Production will continue at the Melfi assembly plant in Italy—known for its advanced automation and sustainability initiatives—before the model rolls out to global markets. The refreshed Compass is aimed at the highly competitive C-SUV segment in Europe, which represents nearly one quarter of the region’s total passenger car market.
The new Compass offers multiple powertrain choices, including a 145-horsepower 48-volt hybrid, a 195-horsepower plug-in hybrid and three battery-electric variants with outputs ranging from 213 to 375 horsepower. Jeep says the top electric model achieves up to 650 kilometres of driving range and supports DC fast charging at rates up to 160 kW, allowing an 80 percent recharge in approximately 30 minutes. An onboard AC charger rated at up to 22 kW handles slower charging sessions.

Exterior revisions preserve signature Jeep styling cues—such as the seven-slot grille, trapezoidal wheel arches and robust lower cladding—while incorporating functional upgrades like an anti-scratch modular shield and repositioned radar sensors to improve durability in urban environments. Ground clearance reaches 200 mm on front-wheel-drive versions and up to 27 degrees of approach angle on all-wheel-drive trims, which also include hill descent control and a standard Selec-Terrain system.
Inside, the Compass gains 55 mm of rear legroom, a 34-litre front storage drawer and a luggage compartment expanded to 550 litres. A new digital instrument cluster pairs with a 16-inch central touchscreen running Uconnect 5 software. Over-the-air updates and Level 2 autonomous-driving features—including semi-automatic lane change—are standard across the lineup, with options for a head-up display, LED matrix headlights and ventilated or massaging seats.

Jeep’s First Edition model, available now for order with deliveries beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025, combines the 145-hp 48-volt hybrid or 213-hp electric powertrain with exclusive features such as 20-inch wheels, a 360-degree protective skid plate and cloth-and-vinyl heated seats. Fabio Catone, head of Jeep Brand in Europe, said the new Compass “demonstrates our commitment to innovation, versatility and electrification” and is designed to meet customer needs both on and off the road.
