Jeep has reached a key production milestone with the completion of its 250,000th Wrangler 4xe, assembled at the Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio. This achievement underscores Jeep’s leadership in the plug-in hybrid market and highlights the success of Stellantis’ broader multi-energy strategy.
The Wrangler 4xe remains the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the U.S., combining off-road capability and open-air freedom with hybrid powertrain efficiency. It features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, two electric motors, and a high-voltage battery, delivering 49 MPGe and up to 21 miles of electric-only driving. It’s the only PHEV in its class and continues to appeal to daily drivers and off-road enthusiasts alike.
The 250,000th model produced was a 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys in Black Clear Coat, equipped with a Freedom Top and mud-terrain tires. The vehicle is headed to a customer in California. Production of the 4xe began in December 2020 and runs alongside gas-powered Wrangler models. All Wrangler units are assembled in Toledo and shipped to markets around the world.
Jeep also recently celebrated the production of its 100,000th Grand Cherokee 4xe, now the third best-selling PHEV in the U.S. Jeep continues to build on its legacy with electrified models that retain the brand’s iconic identity and performance.
