Ford Mach-E Rally order banks open with pricing, 2024 Mach-Es get more range

Ford has announced updates to its 2024 Mustang Mach-E model, incorporating customer feedback to enhance performance, range, and charging speeds. The 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT, featuring a Performance Upgrade, is touted as the fastest production version of the vehicle, outpacing competitors such as the Tesla Model Y Performance and the Porsche Macan 4 Electric. This upgrade, standard on the new Mustang Mach-E Rally and optional for the Mustang Mach-E GT, increases torque by an additional 100 lb. ft. due to a new in-house eMotor and improved powertrain thermal modeling.

The 2024 model will also see the introduction of standardized performance features across the GT variant, including Ford Performance front seats, the MagneRide Damping System, and Brembo-branded front brake calipers. Furthermore, the entire lineup will benefit from a new, lighter rear eMotor developed by Ford engineers, which contributes to the increased torque output.

Charging times have been significantly improved, with the 2024 Mustang Mach-E charging approximately 20 percent faster than its predecessors. This enhancement means a reduction of 8.8 minutes for the extended range battery and 5.7 minutes for the standard range battery during DC fast charging from 10-80%. Range improvements have been made across all models, with the Mustang Mach-E Select and Premium variants seeing a 20-mile increase and the GT variant a 10-mile increase in EPA-estimated range.

Ford is also expanding access for Mustang Mach-E owners to the BlueOval Charge Network, boasting over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers, and introducing a Bronze Appearance Package for the GT model, offering unique styling cues. Additionally, the Mustang Mach-E Rally, Ford’s first rally-inspired electric vehicle, is raised 1” higher than the GT and designed for both on and off-road performance.

Software updates aimed at refining the driving experience include a revamped 15.5-inch screen interface for easier access to apps and information, integration of USB and Bluetooth technology for entertainment, and the introduction of the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system. Pricing for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E lineup has been detailed, with various options and packages available to customize the vehicle according to customer preferences.
