Ford introduces the 2025 Maverick with new all-wheel-drive hybrid option

Ford has announced the introduction of the 2025 Maverick, which brings a range of new features and updates based on customer feedback. The new model continues to build on the Maverick’s reputation for capability and versatility, now with added technology and options that aim to meet the evolving needs of consumers.

One of the most significant updates for the 2025 Maverick is the introduction of an all-wheel-drive hybrid option, addressing a major request from existing customers. This new option is available on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, enhancing the vehicle’s ability to handle challenging terrains and adverse weather conditions. The hybrid all-wheel-drive model can also be equipped with a 4K Tow Package, doubling the towing capacity to 4,000 pounds.

The Maverick’s interior has seen updates as well, with the introduction of SYNC 4 technology presented on a 13.2-inch touchscreen display, which is the largest in its class. This new system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eliminating the need for smartphone cords. Additionally, a built-in 5G modem allows for over-the-air software updates, keeping the vehicle’s systems up to date.

For 2025, the Maverick has also been equipped with new towing technologies, including Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist. These features, which are standard on the Lariat and Tremor trims, simplify the process of hitching and maneuvering trailers. These additions are particularly useful given that nearly half of Maverick owners tow with their vehicles.

On the safety front, the 2025 Maverick comes with a suite of Ford Co-Pilot360 technology, which includes features such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Aid, a Rear View Camera, and Auto LED High-Beam Headlamps. Higher trims, such as the Lariat and Tremor, also include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition.

The exterior of the Maverick has been refreshed with new design elements, including redesigned LED headlamps and a variety of grille designs across different trim levels. The interior also features new color options and materials, with specific trims offering unique accents and themes.

The 2025 Maverick starts at an MSRP of $26,295, with an additional $1,595 for destination and delivery. Orders for the new model will be available starting August 1, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2024.
