Cadillac unveils 2026 Optiq-V with 519 hp and NACS charging

Cadillac has revealed the 2026 Optiq-V, the fifth generation of its V-Series lineup that brings a youthful energy to the brand’s performance portfolio. The new electric performance model delivers an estimated 519 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque in its Velocity Max setting and can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds, according to Cadillac estimates. Distinctive blue and carbon-fiber accents both inside and out pay homage to the V-Series badge while emphasizing the car’s sporty luxury design.

Production of the Optiq-V will begin in fall 2025 for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Middle East and Israel. It will be the first General Motors vehicle to feature a native North American Charging Standard inlet, providing seamless access to fast-charging stations across the continent. “Integrating the native NACS port into our vehicle architecture reflects our leadership in engineering and our commitment to providing more charging options,” said John Cockburn, OPTIQ-V chief engineer.

Built on an 85 kWh battery pack, the Optiq-V offers an estimated 275 miles of range. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is paired with performance-enhancing features such as V-Mode, which lets drivers save custom settings for Competitive Mode and unique sound profiles, and Launch Control for consistent straight-line acceleration. Brembo front brake calipers are standard, and Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance comes with three years of OnStar connected service.

The car’s exterior sports a new V-pattern mesh grille, high-gloss black splitter and carbon-fiber aero package, while a choice of limited-edition Magnus Metal Frost or Deep Ocean Tintcoat paint adds exclusivity. Inside, a 33-inch advanced LED display and a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system with Dolby Atmos deliver a high-tech cabin experience. An interior palette with Santorini Blue accents and recycled-yarn trim reinforces the performance ethos.
