Electrify America and Audi of America have announced an expansion of their electric vehicle charging agreement to include the new 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron. This agreement allows original owners of the Q6 e-tron to benefit from one year of complimentary charging. The charging plan utilizes the extensive coast-to-coast DC Hyper-Fast charging network, which is designed to enhance the convenience of electric vehicle ownership.
Robert Barrosa, president and CEO of Electrify America, stated, “Electrify America is proud to share a mutual goal with Audi of America, which is to make EV ownership a seamless experience.” He emphasized that Q6 e-tron owners can recharge at any of the Hyper-Fast charging stations available across the country. The inclusion of Plug&Charge technology allows for a streamlined charging process without the need for manual input such as tapping screens or swiping credit cards.
Owners of the Audi Q6 e-tron will have one year from their purchase date to take advantage of the complimentary charging offer, subject to certain terms and conditions. To activate this benefit, owners can enroll through the myAudi App. This app also provides features for locating nearby charging stations, checking charger availability, and navigating to these stations.
The 2025 Q6 e-tron is part of Audi’s expanding e-tron model lineup, which already includes the Audi Q4 e-tron and e-tron GT. The upcoming Audi A6 e-tron is also expected to include one year of complimentary charging and Plug&Charge capabilities upon its release. Electrify America is noted for being the first open DC fast-charging network to offer Plug&Charge technology at all its stations. Eligible vehicle owners must enroll in the Electrify America charging plan to utilize this feature, which allows for a straightforward charging experience by simply connecting the vehicle to the charger.
