The 2026 Kia EV9 Nightfall Edition has been introduced at the 2025 New York International Auto Show, showcasing a blend of aggressive styling and functionality. This edition, which has previously been available on models such as the Seltos, Sportage, and Telluride, is now offered on the Kia EV9, allowing consumers to choose a version that features distinctive styling and color options.
The EV9 Nightfall Edition enhances the existing three-row SUV design, which is recognized for its combination of aesthetics and practicality. Steven Center, COO and EVP of Kia America, stated, “This award-winning SUV continues to be a landmark win for the Kia brand,” highlighting its appeal to a wide range of customers and its ability to provide families with stylish and comfortable travel options in an electric format.

This edition is available on the dual-motor Land AWD trim, which includes seating configurations for six or seven passengers. The EV9 Nightfall Edition incorporates Gloss Black elements, including exclusive 20-inch wheels with a dark Kia emblem and 275/50R-20 all-season tires. Additional features include Gloss Black accents on the front grille, skid plates, roof rails, outside mirrors, and lower door side sill accents. A new exterior color, Roadrider Brown, is unique to this edition and is intended to emphasize the vehicle’s adventurous capabilities.
Inside, the EV9 Nightfall Edition presents an exclusive Black interior color scheme with specialized seating upholstery and genuine stitching. It comes standard with second-row captain’s chairs for six-passenger configurations, while a 60/40 split-fold second-row bench is available at no additional cost, increasing capacity to seven.

Beyond visual upgrades, the EV9 Nightfall Edition features a standard Boost function that raises torque from 443 lb.-ft to 516 lb.-ft. Combined with the 379 horsepower from its dual motors, this enhancement allows the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The EV9 also benefits from compatibility with the North American Charging Standard, enabling access to the Tesla Supercharger network and, with an optional adapter, existing Combined Charging System networks.
The Nightfall Edition aims to distinguish the EV9 in the electric vehicle market by providing the versatility of traditional SUVs while operating on electric power. This edition will be produced at Kia’s assembly plant in West Point, Georgia, and the all-electric EV9 is eligible for the federal EV tax credit. Sales are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2025.
